This itinerary will take you to discover the Romanesque churches of the Asti area.
We advise you to reach the beginning of the route by car, you will need to get to Cunico, park and then start following the road towards Montechiaro d’Asti where you can admire the Church of San Nazario and Celso. Then continue towards Cortazzone, and just beyond the town you will find the Pieve di San Secondo in front of which a breathtaking panorama of the hills extends and, after a short stop on the benches, you start again towards Montafia, you will have to reach the small cemetery and then continue to climb up to the Church of San Martino. The next destination is Colle Don Bosco, after which you will continue towards Morialdo, along the Pope’s road that leads to the birthplace of San Giovanni Bosco, also pass Castelnuovo Don Bosco and arrive in Albugnano and the splendid Abbey of Vezzolano. The road continues down towards Ramengo and then up to Cocconato up to the church of the Madonna della Neve, built on a hilltop overlooking the vineyards. Finally descend again on the way back, passing from Piovà Massaia, up to Cunico.
